I had a MUCH better CVS trip this week than I had planned. I knew I’d be getting my Stayfree pads for free but, to my surprise, I got OVERAGE with each of my BOGO coupons from the 01/06 SS! The pads I got were $3.99, and my coupons rang up for the max amount of $4.49, giving me 50 cents overage per coupon!
I messed up my transaction at first because, not wanting to clear the shelf of any one kind, I got six of one kind and six of another. However, I didn’t realize one was $3 more than the other! So, the cashier took those off my transaction and told me to go get seven more of the cheaper ones. After the fact, I noticed she had told me to get one extra than I should have. Oh well. I may go try to take it back (but since I had already held up the line a lot, I didn’t want to go back in then).
Since CVS won’t give you money back when you have overage, I had to get some things to use it up. So, I got four extra candy bars for a total of eight because I didn’t want to irritate everyone even more by going and looking through the aisles for other items. That’s OK, though, because I had one happy husband!
My total retail was around $61, and I paid $0.66 OOP for 99% savings! And, I’m stocked up on feminine hygiene products for at least a year. Woo!

How many coupons did you use to get this deal? If the store has it on BOGO, too, how many does that mean you get?
I used 6 coupons. If you have a BOGO coupon and there’s a BOGO sale, you get 2 items per coupon for free!
