I have always loved the idea of sleep sacks. They look super comfy and eliminate the need for blankets while keeping my babies warm. I am always a little worried putting a blanket in the crib, so a sleep sack is a great option.

I was sent a Wee Urban Sleep Sack in Turquoise Whales to review:

First – I love the design. LOVE IT! Very modern and I like that it isn’t all “baby-ish”. While I do like things like teddy bears, puppies, and dinosaurs, I prefer a more up to date design. Something streamlined and “now”. Like these whales!

Second – this WeeDreams SleepSack is SOFT! The cotton fabric is nice and thick and keeps which ever baby I put it on nice and warm. That’s another thing – it can be used for a boy or girl! Both Dylan & Riley have worn it to bed!

Third – the actual design of the sleep sack is great:

Note the two way zipper – I can easily change a diaper when I need to. And the snaps on the shoulders are nice. All I have to do is lay the baby down on top of it (while it’s completely opened) and *zip snap* done.

One more great thing about sleep sacks in general – has your child ever stuck a foot between the slats of their crib? Mine has. I don’t use a regular bumper (I use a breathable) and Riley has pushed hers down with her foot and got it stuck because she tried to roll over to get it out. I know someone who’s little one actually fractured his ankle this way. A sleep sack would help this because their legs aren’t completely free and won’t easily get stuck.
