(closed)Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop Review & Giveaway! Ends 10/29

by Carol on October 14, 2010

Save more and waste less with the Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop. The microfiber pad is reusable so you no longer have to buy disposable pads. Plus Reveal picks up 50% more dirt and dust per swipe than traditional mops. The Refillable Spray bottle allows you to stop buying expensive solutions and create your own using your favorite household cleaner or use plain hot water.
I got the opportunity to try out the Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop. Yay!

I hated my old mop. HATED… It’s one of those rope ones that you dunk into a bucket of water and it gets all gross and in my opinion the floors come out dirtier than they were before I mopped. Plus the cleaning solution took forever to dry because there was so much, I would spill everywhere, and the bucket water was dirty.

I would have loved to use that *nationally known* floor cleaner mop (I have the dry duster version and I love that), but the fact that you HAVE to use their solution stinks. It gets expensive. And who knows what is in the solution. I know it claims to be safe, but I have kids, darn it…

So the Reveal Mop seemed like a good fit for me:
I got the Reveal Mop, 3 microfiber pads, 2 cleaning solution bottles, and a manual.

Reveal Mop Specs:

• Safe to use on all hard floors including vinyl, hardwood, laminate and tile
• The Refillable Spray Bottle allows you to customize your clean. Just mix your favorite solution with water or use plain hot water
• The Microfiber cleaning pad picks up 50% more dirt and dust per swipe than traditional mops
• The Microfiber pads are reusable – simply hand wash or machine wash after using
• Non-battery operated spray trigger allows you to dispense as much or as little solution needed to clean your floor
• Constructed with durable yet lightweight material

I found it really, REALLY easy to use – just fill the bottle and spray. no batteries, no gross mop water, just clean floors…
Fill the bottle with hot water
Add the cleaning solution (I used Ecover)…
 And mop!
That’s it!

I can’t really find any cons to this system. I looked. I tried. Nothing.

I did find a lot of things I liked – such as how super easy it is to keep my floors clean. I can very easily run the mop over my floors when I clean up at night. I also like how environmentally friendly it is – no disposable pads to throw away, no batteries needed. I can hand-wash the microfiber pads or throw them in the washing machine with my towels.
Microfibers. Can you say trapped dirt?

Rubbermaid has also offered up some great cleaning solutions, 100% safe for your family and pets! One of my favorites is 2 tablespoons white vinegar, 2-3 drops liquid soap, amd fill the rest with hot water. Or you can use baking soda and baby shampoo, which is great on non-glazed tile and marble!

I love my Reveal Mop. I want to burn my old mop…
*but instead I just tossed it in the dumpster ;)
